These Terms of Service govern your use of chicagolandtowpros.com and the towing and roadside assistance services provided by Chicagoland Tow Pros ("we," "us," or "our"). By requesting service or using this website, you agree to these terms.

Services We Provide

We provide light and medium duty towing, jump starts, vehicle lockouts, winch-out recovery and long-distance towing for cars, pickups, vans and SUVs in our service area. We do not provide heavy duty towing for semi tractors, box trucks, buses or heavy equipment.

Pricing and Estimates

Prices published on this website are starting prices for standard service situations. They are not flat rates and not guaranteed quotes. Final pricing depends on factors including distance, vehicle type and weight, vehicle condition, pickup location, road and weather conditions, recovery difficulty, time on scene and equipment required.

We provide a price or estimate before dispatch whenever possible. Where conditions on arrival differ materially from what was described on the call, the price may change, and we will inform you before proceeding.

Payment

Payment is due at the time service is completed unless we agree otherwise in advance. If service is being billed to an insurer, motor club or third party, you remain responsible for any amount that party does not pay.

Cancellation

If you cancel after a truck has been dispatched, a service charge may apply to cover the time and travel already spent. We will tell you if a cancellation charge applies.

Response Times

We provide estimated arrival windows in good faith based on current conditions. Arrival times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Traffic, weather, road closures, call volume and conditions at the scene all affect how long it takes to reach you.

Your Responsibilities

  • You confirm that you own the vehicle or are authorized to request service for it.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, including location, vehicle details and condition.
  • You must disclose known conditions that affect towing, such as a locked transmission, aftermarket modifications, low clearance, all-wheel drive, or a disabled steering column.
  • Remove personal property and valuables from the vehicle before it is towed.
  • If you are on a roadway, move to a safe location away from traffic while waiting.

Vehicle Condition and Personal Property

We take reasonable care in loading, transporting and unloading vehicles. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for damage arising from undisclosed vehicle conditions or modifications, or for damage that cannot be avoided given the condition or position of the vehicle at pickup. We are not responsible for personal property left inside a vehicle.

Recovery and Winch-Out Work

Recovery of a vehicle from a ditch, embankment, snow, mud or other off-road position carries inherent risk. By requesting recovery, you accept that the process may result in additional wear or damage in circumstances where no reasonable alternative approach exists. We will discuss the approach with you before beginning where practical.

Unattended and Abandoned Vehicles

Vehicles left in our possession beyond the agreed delivery may be subject to storage charges. Vehicles must be claimed by the owner or an authorized party with proof of ownership or authority.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including lost wages, missed appointments, rental costs or loss of use.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top reflects the current version. Requesting service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
